The ingredients needed to make Rasgulla:
  1. Prepare 1/2 ltr cow milk
  2. Make ready 1/2 ltr buffalo milk
  3. Take 3 tsp lime juice
  4. Prepare 5 bowl water
  5. Take 1 bowl sugar

Bengali Rasgullas are homemade paneer (Cottage cheese) sweet dish, round paneer balls soaked in sugar syrup. Rasgulla is made from "chena" which is obtained by curdling the milk.   1. Take half litre cow milk and buffalo milk in pan and let it boil. Switch off the flame and let it set for a minute (please follow recipe as it is to get soft and spongy rasgullas)
  2. Now add the lime juice little by little and stir once till you see greenish water
  3. Now remove the paneer in a muslin cloth and wash it twice with water.
  4. Now remove excess water and hang it for half an hour
  5. After half an hour squeeze the excess water. Remove the paneer in a plate and knead it with your palm for 3-4 to mins.
  6. Now make crackless balls of the paneer. Just take a small portion once press it in between your palm and then make a ball
  7. Till then in a cooker add water and sugar in the mentioned quantity and let it boil. As it boils add the balls in the cooker
  8. Remove the whitsle and cook it exactly for 8 mins. Once done open the cooker and let it stay in it for another 15 mins
  9. Remove in a bowl and serve!!!
