- Wash daal and rice at least three times and drain all the water.
- In a pressure cooker add dal and rice along with 5 cups of water, salt, turmeric powder and cook up to three whistles.
- Meanwhile in a grinder jar add palak and grind it into a fine paste.
- Now after three whistles keep aside the cooker and let the pressure release.
- In a pan add ghee and mustard seeds to splutter.
- Add cloves, cardamom, dry chillies, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 mins.
- Now add onions and tomatoes cook for 5 minutes then add palak puree and cook again for 2 minutes and add paneer pieces.
- Finally add cooked khichdi into it and mix well.
- Cook with a lid for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot with dollop of ghee.
